Beatriz Haddad Maia and Katerina Siniakova will clash in one of two semifinal matches on Friday at the Tennis in the Land event, and our resident WTA expert has them both covered. EJ Garr’s Beatriz Haddad Maia vs Katerina Siniakova prediction leans on a lengthy battle and you can check out his bet with +140 odds below.
Haddad Maia hasn’t dropped a set in Ohio this week and her last two wins were dominating performances.
Katerina Siniakova has been pushed to three sets to pick up three victories in Cleveland this week which is not an uncommon outcome for the Czech native.

Beatriz Haddad Maia is still dealing with soreness in her shoulder after bowing out in Toronto and after the loss in Cincinnati, the Brazilian is playing well in Cleveland. That is an understatement, and after being challenged by Golubic in the opening round it has been a cakewalk to the semis for Beatriz.
Golubic didn’t take a set from Beatriz but a 7 – 5 second frame is the biggest challenge Haddad Maia has faced as the 1-seed for this WTA250 event. Neither Bucsa nor Burel won more than two games from Haddad Maia and the 23rd-ranked Brazilian needs to win a title to keep her run of four straight seasons with at least one tourney win.
Siniakova has that going for her in Cleveland this week if time on the court matters. Sayaki Ishi pushed the Czech to three sets and two of those sets went into a tie-break. The match with Bouzas Maneiro in the second round ended wildly as Siniakova broke the Spaniard down 5 – 4 in the third set and pulled out the win in another tie-break
Sinakova dropped the first set harshly in the quarters against Peyton Stearns, 6 – 1, but it didn’t deter her from pushing through to the semis.
I have this match going the distance, and the +140 offer suits me just fine. Check out my other semis prediction for the Kessler and Potapova match because the same value is on the table for that affair!
After Beatriz exited Toronto with tears in her eyes and the shoulder injury, she might not have been ready to go when she landed in Cincinnati. The Brazilian lost to Pavlyuchenkova in three sets and the 6-day layoff came in handy.
It’s been a long campaign for the 23rd-ranked Brazilian who has yet to win a title in 2024, and the record speaks for itself. With a 12 – 11 record on hardcourts this year, Beatriz is only 23 – 21 and that is the worst record she’s had since 2018.
Siniakova has spent the most time on the court than any player in this event with 84 games in Cleveland to pick up three wins.
Kat was a game away from being eliminated against Bouzas Maneiro and after dropping the first set to Stearns she turned it on when it was needed most.
That fight will come in handy for the 36th-ranked Czech native who is 13 – 10 in hardcourts this season and currently, has a winning record on all three surfaces.
Beatriz and Kat have split wins from two meetings over the last two campaigns.
In 2022, Siniakova earned a straight-sets win over Haddad Maia in Guadalajara, and last season the Brazilian returned the favor with a three-set victory at Indian Wells.
