There are five meetings in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with competitive soft ground NH action from Wincanton sure to attract the bulk of the betting interest. All-weather fans have the cards at Kempton and Wolverhampton to study, with the lights coming on at 5.30pm at the Sunbury venue. For followers of the turf, Nottingham stage their first fixture of the season, with big fields assured on testing ground and stakes best kept to a minimum for punting purposes. Leopardstown also stage a very interesting card, where market moves are likely to be significant with plenty of the top Irish yards well represented.

Hard Frost
Wincanton 3:25 (UK time)
Harry Derham has made a blistering start to his new training career, and his promising maiden shaped really well first time over fences last time out at Market Rasen (just touched off on the nod by an unexposed rival). The drying spring ground should suit ideally stepping up in trip to 2m4f, and regular rider Paul O’Brien is certainly aware of all of his quirks on and off the bridle.
Odds: NA
Hatos
Wincanton 2:15 (UK time)
Anthony Honeyball has his team in terrific form at the moment, and his unexposed hurdler remains on an attractive handicap mark now that underfoot conditions have dried up. He simply failed to stay 3m1f here last time out having travelled smoothly under restraint, and this intermediate 2m5f trip should be much more suitable under the excellent amateur William Biddick.
Odds: NA
