There are five fixtures in Britain and Ireland on Wednesday, with the second day of the Craven meeting at Newmarket certain to attract the bulk of the betting interest. Group action and top tier prize money is sure to attract runners from the top stables, and a sunny and warm weather forecast should mean a big midweek crowd is in attendance at HQ. Elsewhere, there is AW action at Kempton, flat turf meetings at Beverley and Gowran, and Cheltenham stages a competitive end of season jumping card.

Jane Chapple-Hyam’s 3-y-o progressed run to run as a juvenile, finishing off with a cracking second to Flying Honours here over 1m2f in the Group 3 Zetland Stakes (pair pulling quickly clear of the remote third from the furlong pole). He has plenty of size and scope to improve for middle distances in the summer months, but should have enough pace for 1m1f on his seasonal reappearance under new jockey Marco Ghiani.
