There are six meetings in Britain and Ireland on Tuesday with competitive low grade fast ground handicaps very much the order of the day up and down the country. Cards at Ayr, Brighton, Salisbury, Southwell (AW) and Wetherby will keep punters and bookmakers busy throughout the afternoon and evening. NH fans have a modest Sligo card to study, with the action getting underway at 4.55pm.

Ed Dunlop has enjoyed a terrific few months, and his progressive 3-y-o impressed when getting off the mark on the polytrack at Lingfield last week (well backed 10/11f and found strongly for pressure to pull 5l clear from the furlong pole). He remains open to plenty more improvement after just seven career starts (only 3 on the turf), and a positive ride is on the cards from Neil Callan (with stamina for this 1m4f trip now well established).

Adrian Wintle’s mare has only won 1 of her 26 career starts to date, but she improved on the all-weather over the winter and has been found a very weak race here for her first run since February. The switch to fast turf should be no issue at all, and the booking of the excellent claimer Billy Loughnane certainly increases confidence that she will be primed by her astute connections.
