For jumps fans there is sure to be a huge holiday crowd gathered at Newton Abbot, with watering to maintain decent ground and four competitive handicaps on the six race card.

Jim Goldie’s sprinter is very much handicapped to win again, and will appreciate this slightly stiffer track and return to six furlongs after struggling to get warm at Musselburgh in recent weeks. He finished basically still on the bridle there last time out having typically got outpaced in rear, and this modest class six contest should be well within his capabilities under regular rider Paul Mulrennan.
