There are five meetings in Britain and Ireland on Thursday, with Chelmsford (AW), Lingfield (AW), Thurles and Salisbury providing some competitive decent quality flat action to keep bookmakers and punters busy through to the evening. Jumping fans have an interesting card at Warwick to study, with the action getting underway at 2.00 at the Midlands venue.

Palmar Bay
Salisbury 3:27 (UK time)
Ralph Beckett has maintained a terrific strike rate over the last few months, and this progressive and scopey 2-y-o is fancied to handle a jump up in class at Salisbury on Thursday. He impressed when winning narrowly over five furlongs here last time out (140 days ago), overcoming a wide trip throughout and knuckling down strongly for pressure to deny Jasour (dual winner since), and this step up to six furlongs can unlock further improvement under Hector Crouch.
Odds: NA
Katey Kontent
Salisbury 3:57 (UK time)
Clive Cox’s 3-y-o filly caught the eye when well backed at Yarmouth last time out, dropped out in a poor early position and finishing well to take a never dangerous third. She remains with upside in handicaps this Autumn after just eight career starts, and Rossa Ryan is likely to be a lot more positive on this occasion (with the galloping nature of Salisbury expected to suit on eased ground).
Odds: NA
