There are seven meetings in Britain and Ireland on a busy Thursday, with competitive flat racing dominating from Brighton, Chepstow, Nottingham, Salisbury, Sandown and Yarmouth. NH fans have the evening card at Sligo to get studying, with the action getting underway at 5.05pm and the ground on the softer side of good.

Sassy Belle
Nottingham 2:40 (UK time)
Ed Walker’s filly has shaped well in defeat on all three runs so far this season, possibly overdoing things from the front at Windsor last time out, and she has been found a terrific opening at Nottingham on Thursday. Her one career win came in heavy conditions at Leicester last season, so any cut in the ground would be no issue at all, and the booking of the red hot Oisin Murphy certainly increases confidence of a bold bid.
Odds: NA
Mountain Lake
Nottingham 3:40 (UK time)
Saeed bin Suroor has his relatively small team in decent form at the moment, and his unexposed 3-y-o filly remain open to plenty more improvement now going into handicaps this summer after just three career starts. She was just outbattled after a tremendous scrap up the straight when heavily backed at Bath last time out in a small field (muddling pace and ill at ease on the track when asked a question), and the first time booking of Oisin Murphy (and the more galloping nature of Nottingham) are both big positives to her chance.
Odds: NA
