There are six meetings in Britain and Ireland on Thursday, with competitive low grade handicaps very much the order of the day at Chelmsford (AW), Hamilton, Leopardstown and Yarmouth. NH fans have cards at Ffos Las and Uttoxeter to get stuck into (with drying fast ground expected and the emphasis very much on speed).

Zarabanda
Hamilton 3:00 (UK time)
David O’Meara’s 4-y-o filly was a huge eyecatcher at this track on her seasonal reappearance, squeezed out completely two furlongs out when looking poised to challenge, and she can be forgiven a lesser effort under a negative ride at Ayr last time out. She drops down in class here under Jason Watson, and a return to this stiffer course and distance should suit ideally (remains with plenty of upside in handicaps after just five career starts).

Walking On Clouds
Hamilton 3:35 (UK time)
Grant Tuer does very well with limited ammunition, and his in-form handicapper is fancied to follow up a victory at Ayr last time out (extra credit as overcame scrimmaging at the stalls). He has a good strike rate for a sprinter, with 7 career wins from 27 starts, and regular rider Oliver Stammers will be looking to make all the running to land this valuable £30,000 handicap.
Odds: NA
