There are 3 NH meetings in Britain and Ireland on Sunday, with Fontwell, Hereford and Naas all staging varied cards. The Grade 2 novice hurdle at 3.10pm is sure to attract entries from the powerful Mullins and Elliott yards, while in Sussex the National Spirit hurdle could see Goshen start a short priced favourite for local trainer Gary Moore.

Joe Tizzard’s dual winning hurdler jumped badly left when disappointing on his chasing debut at Kempton earlier in the month, and he should be well suited by a switch to this left handed track under Tom Cannon. The yard is now in much better form after struggling at the start of the year, and a positive ride from the front could make him hard to beat on the decent ground expected at Fontwell on Sunday.

He will need a positive ride from James Best here dropping down in trip to 2m5f, but good ground suits ideally and he will not be stopping up the final stamina-sapping Fontwell hill.
