The flat season finally bursts into life on ITV on Saturday, with the middle day of the Guineas meeting at Newmarket very much taking centre stage. Auguste Rodin has headed the market for all of the winter months for the days feature Group 1 race at 4.40pm, and he seems sure be primed to make a winning reappearance by the all-powerful Aidan O’Brien operation. Elsewhere, there are cracking handicaps at Goodwood and Thirsk, with the Hunt Cup at 3.40pm sure to attract a big field for the excellent prize money on offer.
