Some cracking prize money will attract the best performers from the top yards, and 7 of the 8 races are handicaps with each-way betting available throughout. Wolverhampton stage one of their popular evening meetings, with the lights coming on at 5.30pm, while an additional meeting at Southwell has been added to keep bookmakers and punters busy throughout the day.

Charlie Fellowes useful 5-y-o has caught the eye on two starts on the all-weather so far this winter since returning from a long break, poorly positioned on each occasion and finishing with plenty of running left in the tank. A much more positive ride will be required over this 1m2f trip, but she remains relatively unexposed after just 5 career starts and regular rider Jack Mitchell will surely try to secure a prominent early pitch in this valuable prize.

Tony Carroll has hit a real purple patch on the all-weather in recent weeks, and his consistent 7-y-o caught the eye on his return from seven months off the track last Saturday. He finished really strongly there under Molly Gun in a competitive handicap, and the step back up in trip to a mile looks the right call (with the same very promising claiming rider booked again).
