There are six races on ITV this Saturday, with the best of the action from Doncaster on their biggest day of the flat season. The final classic at 3.35pm is very much the highlight, with the Betfred St Leger sure to attract the best Group 1 stayers from Britain and Ireland. Elsewhere on the card, there are some cracking Group races alongside a valuable Heritage sprint handicap in the Portland at 2.25pm. A huge summer crowd will be drawn to Chester for a really competitive meeting, with the cameras covering two high quality races round the uniquely turning track.

Richard Hannon’s unbeaten 2-y-o has created a deep impression in winning both career starts at Newbury and Ascot so far, and has the scope and size to develop further as his stamina is drawn out next season as a 3-y-o. He will relish the flat, galloping nature of Doncaster now upped to Group 2 company, and the decent ground conditions should suit ideally against largely more exposed opposition.

2:05	Chester	Bluestocking	Ralph Beckett has maintained a fantastic strike rate all summer, and his high class filly has run four cracking races despite not getting her head in front. She will relish this drop down in class to listed company, and her turn of foot could be an asset if things turn into a sprint from the final turn in a small field under Rob Hornby.
2:25	Doncaster	Makanah	Julie Camacho’s classy sprinter has been expensive to follow in Saturday handicaps all summer, often catching the eye finishing well from off the pace, and he is worth one more chance at a double figure price in the Portland. The extended five furlong trip combined with a rapid pace on decent ground should be ideal, and he can swoop late with Callum Rodriguez taking over in the saddle from the now retired Paul Hanagan.
2:40	Chester	Arthurs Realm	Ed Dunlop has enjoyed a decent summer overall, and his consistent if frustrating handicapper has optimum conditions to bounce back to winning form at Chester on Saturday.
3:00	Doncaster	Sandrine	Andrew Balding’s 4-y-o filly has been hard to place from a punitive handicap mark this summer, but she shaped we at 25/1 at York last time out in a typically competitive contest and this 7f Group 3 offers her a better opportunity to win for the first time this season under the top class Oisin Murphy.
