There are four meetings in Britain and Ireland on Monday, with Pontefract, Windsor and Wolverhampton (AW) providing some competitive decent quality flat action to keep bookmakers and punters busy through to the evening. Jumping fans have an interesting card at Stratford to study, with the action getting underway at 2.05pm the Midlands venue.

Havana Rose
Pontefract 3:00 (UK time)
Ed Bethell’s has enjoyed a real breakthrough season, and his unexposed 2-y-o caught the eye after missing the break in a warm Redcar contest last time out (finishing with running left in the tank behind the smart Townsend Manor over 5f). She now goes into handicaps from a very attractive opening mark, and the return to six furlongs (good winner at Carlisle on quick ground one start back) should suit ideally under Callum Rodriguez.
Odds: NA
Mount King
Pontefract 3:30 (UK time)
Tim Easterby’s 3-y-o impressed when getting off the mark from the front at Thirsk in September, and had excuses over this course and distance last time out (parked wide and unable to dominate). He is likely to get an attacking ride from David Allan back at Pontefract on Monday, and this Class 4 handicap lacks any unexposed or progressive contenders in the formbook.
Odds: NA
