There are four meetings in Britain and Ireland on Monday, with competitive low grade flat racing dominating from Brighton , Catterick and Lingfield (AW). Jumps fans will welcome the return of Bangor after a break, and field sizes are sure to be decent at a venue where Donald McCain has a brilliant record.

Brighton 2:05 (UK time)
Darryl Holland’s unexposed juvenile has promised plenty in three runs so far, and could be just the type to take off now switched to nurseries for the first time from a potentially lenient opening mark. The booking of the excellent David Egan certainly catches the eye for these astute connections, and the drop back to 5f on quickening ground should be ideal (did not get home over 6f last time and shaped well over this course and distance on debut at a big price).
Odds: NA
Angel on High
Brighton 3:15 (UK time)
Adrian Wintle’s exposed handicapper has been running well in defeat all summer in slightly stronger company, and the 6-y-o can snap a losing run stretching all the way back to Lingfield in January 2020. This Class 6 looks a particularly weak contest, and a positive ride from the front by Finley Marsh could soon have these rivals out of their comfort zone (before the sapping Brighton climb for home).
Odds: NA
