There are five meetings in Britain and Ireland on Monday, with competitive low grade flat racing dominating from Ayr, Killarney, Windsor and Wolverhampton (AW). NH fans have the card at Newton Abbot to get studying, with the action getting underway at 2.15pm and a huge crowd of holiday makers assured on the Devon Riviera.

Jim Goldie has his team in blistering form north of the border at the moment, and his consistent handicapper shaped really well over seven furlongs at Musselburgh last time out (finishing strongly when finally asked for an effort after the winner had flown). The return to a mile back at a more galloping track where he has run so well in the past should suit ideally, and he is fancied to give weight away all round under regular rider Paul Mulrennan.

Twelth Night
Ayr 3:45 (UK time)
Ruth Carr’s reliable sprinter has an excellent strike rate for one operating at this level, with 4 wins from 15 career starts, and he comes into this valuable Class 3 handicap in career best form (unlucky third last time at Ripon when his run through from rear was checked at a crucial time). A fast run 6f on eased ground would be his optimum conditions, and he can swoop late under James Sullivan if seeing daylight from the furlong pole.
Odds: NA
