There are five meetings in Britain and Ireland on Monday, with flat racing dominating and the best quality on offer at Naas in the afternoon (cracking Group 3 Ballyroan Stakes over 1m4f at 3.35pm). Elsewhere, soft ground conditions seem certain at Ayr, Carlisle, Ripon and Windsor, as the wet spell of weather across the country continues.

Ayr 3:35 (UK time)
Michael Dods unexposed 3-y-o handicapper has hinted at ability on a couple of occasions without winning in 8 career starts to date, but he was well backed on his latest start at Haydock (when finishing a creditable third from the front) and could now be primed to strike. This seven furlongs is very much in his favour on easy ground under Conor Beasley (tried at up to 1m2f in the past when a non-stayer), and he is well treated on the pick of his form (now fully fit after four starts this summer).
Odds: NA
Theme Park
Ayr 4:10 (UK time)
Nigel Tinkler’s 3-y-o has been highly tried at the top tracks since going handicapping this summer, and can take advantage of a drop in class at Ayr on Monday. He was sent off a well backed 4/1f at Ascot last time out, shaping better than the bare result as he raced very wide throughout when making headway, and there should still be some improvement in the tank after just seven career starts.
Odds: NA
