There are seven meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with competitive fast ground flat racing dominating from Beverley, Doncaster, Haydock and Sandown (with the start of the two day Eclipse meeting at the Esher venue very much the highlight). NH fans have the card at Newton Abbot to get studying, with the action getting underway at 2.40pm.

Karl Burke has an extremely strong hand in the juvenile division this season, and his scopey 2-y-o has improved run to run in three career starts so far. He showed a rare turn of foot to sprint clear on the all-weather at Newcastle last time out, and should be well suited to the decent ground expected at Sandown on Friday. The booking of Ryan Moore is a big plus to his chances of handling the jump up in class to listed company, and he will be looking to weave his way through late over this stiff five furlongs.
Odds: NA

Charlie Appleby now has his team back firing on all cylinders after a quiet spell (drew a blank at Royal Ascot), and his quirky stayer is expected to relish a drop back down in trip to two miles here under William Buick. He clearly failed to stay 2m4f last time out under a very negative ride, but still shaped as though in decent heart tanking up from rear, and his career record of 7 wins from 18 starts sets him apart from most of these rivals.
Odds: NA
