AW fans have a low grade card under lights at Dundalk to study, with the action getting underway at 5.30pm.

Dan Skelton’s 6-y-o rounded off last season with a cracking fourth behind Thanksforthehelp in a strong Southwell novice on good ground, and appeals very much as a novice chaser to follow this winter for his excellent yard. He seems sure to be a lot fitter after a promising chasing debut at Kempton last month (with the stable now hitting top form/8 winners in the last fortnight), and the galloping nature of Newbury on eased decent ground should be ideal back over this extended 2m trip.

The presence of a couple of confirmed frontrunners in the line up should make this a proper test of stamina up the long Newbury straight, and he can overpower these late over the 2m4f trip (proven stayer at three miles+ in the mud last winter).
