There are four scheduled meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with NH fans in for busy and varied afternoon of jumps action (Ffos Las abandoned waterlogged). They have Fakenham and Kelso to study on testing ground, with some decent handicaps to try to solve at the Scottish venue (and some informative novice contests). AW fans have lower grade action to study at Dundalk and Wolverhampton , with the lights coming on at 5.10pm at the Midlands venue (and the handicaps looking especially competitive for the time of year).

Kelso 2.50 (UK time)
Nick Alexander has a lovely team of young horses to go to war with this winter, and his handicapper impressed when landing hefty cash over this course and distance last time out. He had gone into the notebook previously over hurdles on decent ground at Ayr in November, and can defy his new mark here under Danny McMenamin (with none of these rivals possessing much potential or looking badly out of sorts).
Odds: NA

Kelso 3.20 (UK time)
Nicky Richards has emerged from a quiet spell in recent weeks (2 winners in the last 14 days from 8 runners), and his lightly raced 9-y-o handicapper has optimum conditions at Kelso on Friday. He looked ready for a step back up in trip to 2m5f at Doncaster last time out, tapped for pace over two miles before rallying up the straight, and the testing ground should be no issue at all under Danny McMenamin.
Odds: NA
