There are 3 meetings in the UK on Friday, with competitive jumps action from Haydock and Taunton sure to attract the bulk of the betting activity. For all-weather followers there is a good twilight card at Wolverhampton to get stuck into, with the floodlights coming on at 4pm.

Iron Bridge
Haydock 1:00 (UK time)
Jonjo O’Neill has enjoyed a terrific time of things over the Christmas period, and his strapping novice created a deep impression when making a winning start in this sphere at Carlisle in October. He looked a thorough stayer there, reeling in a subsequent easy winner in Harpers Brook, and can be forgiven a lesser effort from well off the pace at Chepstow last time out (odd errors under a negative ride). A positive ride will be needed in this small field, but he is a relentless galloper who responds generously, and Jonjo O’Neill jnr will be anxious to turn this into a real battle up the long Haydock straight.
Odds: NA
Ubetya
Haydock 2:00 (UK time)
Jedd O’Keefe’s chaser has run really well on both starts since arriving from Paul Nicholls, and he could take plenty of catching round here with Brian Hughes taking over in the saddle. He is a sound jumping frontrunner who goes particularly well in soft ground, and his latest second at Bangor in November represents solid form for the grade.
Odds: NA
