There are 4 meetings in Britain on Friday, with the start of the three day December meeting at Cheltenham very much the highlight. There are six cracking handicaps on what is sure to be a very competitive card, with the Cross Country at 12.05pm providing some welcome variety.
Supporting jumps cards at Bangor and Doncaster both offer up good prize money, while all-weather fans have the evening card at Southwell to study (with the floodlights coming on at 5.15pm).

Cheltenham 1:15 (UK time)
Fergal O’Brien’s three time winning hurdler has shaped better than the bare result in two runs over fences so far this winter, probably unsuited by the steady gallop in small fields on each occasion. He looks a pretty sound jumper given his inexperience, and should appreciate the much stronger pace assured in this Cheltenham handicap (with plenty of rock solid efforts at this track in the book over timber in the past).
Odds: NA
Gazette Bourgeoise
Cheltenham 1:50 (UK time)
Ben Case’s useful mare made a pleasing start over fences when finishing second to Eureka Creek at Uttoxeter in November, jumping soundly and just done for pace in a tactical three runner race. She has plenty of scope to keep on progressing in this sphere, should be a bit sharper for that first run in seven months, and will appreciate the decent ground expected here on Friday.
Odds: NA
