There are six meetings in Britain and Ireland on Friday, with competitive jumps action dominating from Chepstow, Perth, Punchestown and Southwell sure to attract most of the betting activity. Flat fans have cards at Doncaster and Sandown to get stuck into, with the recent rain very welcome particularly at the Esher venue (which often struggles to attract decent field sizes for these early turf fixtures).

Geryville
Perth 2:05 (UK time)
Micky Hammond’s consistent chaser lost no caste in defeat when finishing third at Newcastle last time out, travelling well out wide but outpaced over an inadequate trip when asked to close down the leaders turning for home. He will relish this much stiffer test of stamina on decent eased spring ground under champion-elect Brian Hughes, and there should be plenty more improvement in the tank after just one previous try over these marathon trips (cracking second over 3m4f at Market Rasen on Boxing Day).
Odds: NA
The Wolf
Perth 3:50 (UK time)
Olly Murphy has enjoyed a fantastic few months, and his frustrating veteran is fancied to finally snap a long losing run stretching all the way back to October 2020 at Chepstow. He has slipped right down the weights as a result of some indifferent runs over the last few years, but signalled a return to form under a quiet ride out wide at Ludlow last time out, and seems sure to go very well here under Adrian Heskin.
Odds: NA
