After the All-Star break, we are back to our regular NBA games and we are starting with an interesting clash between the 38-23 Cavs team and the 41-18 Nuggets. This will also be a face-off between some of the best-performing teams over the last 10 games. Surely we’re in for a banger tonight at Rocket Morgage Filedhouse Center.

The Cavs are in very good form. They managed to win the last 9 out of 11 games with some impressive performances. D. Mitchell is having a great season, averaging 27 points and 5 assists per game. Mitchell has been a very good addition to Cavs’ young backcourt and they are on the brink of a top 3 spot in the Eastern Conference. Their biggest strength is their defence, they are letting their opponents score only 106.1 points per game on a 51% field goal percentage.
For tonight’s game, they will be missing C. Osman due to a neck injury as well as R. Rubio who is out due to an illness.
The Nuggets have been cruising through the Western Conference, currently sitting on the top with a 41-18 record. N. Jokic is again having an MVP season and is seen as the most likely contestant to win the award once again. The supporting cast this year has been much better for the Nuggets as both A. Gordon and J. Murray have been playing solid to support Jokic. The Nuggets have a 5 points average difference ratio which is very good, they are scoring 117PPG while letting their opponents score only 112PPG. When they win they win in style and usually blow out their opposition. Shooting splits could be better for the Nuggets but we believe they will improve heading into playoffs.
The Nuggets will be complete for tonight’s game according to the latest injury reports.
We are in for a banger between the teams that are in the best form in the NBA. The Nuggets have won the last 4 out of 5 games against the Cavs in Cleveland, if they plan to continue to fight for the top they need to win these games routinely. We are counting on the rested Nuggets to show their offensive and defensive potential tonight and walk off the court with a win.
